Water

What do you know? Or what do you think you know? Why is knowing so important or is it really. Yesterday as I walked through a department store I saw a UNICEF sign asking for drinking water for Africa. Two women passed by and I said that sign needs to be asking for drinking water in Flint, Michigan. One of the women said is that still going on?

This brings me back to what do you know? These ladies thought the Flint, Michigan water supply problem was over. Then I thought why did the women think the water crisis in Flint was over?  Could it be ambivalence, it could be that they do not watch TV or read the newspaper or go on the internet. I could probably think of a lot of reasons but do we really need to know what is going on in our world or should we even care?

I own OTE  a Knowledge Awareness company, so knowing something is what I think about all the time. In my world you just never know where knowledge can lead you. Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci did the first resume in 1482? In the Knowledge Awareness business you need to know a lot to service clients needs. As an entrepreneur you have to know what is going on in the world to make a living.

In America we take so many things for granted because after all we live in America. We just know in our hearts that what happened with the water in Flint, Michigan and Africa will never happen in our town.

The drinking water problem in Flint, Michigan is out of the news cycle. No criminal charges have been filed, churches and other organizations are delivering water, and big news stations (CNN, MSNBC, and others), who control the news cycle say virtually nothing about the government officials who poisoned a whole town for money. No one knows the long term effects lead will have on children and others.
